Prague- The most beautiful city!

Well we've been in Prague for a couple days now, and I think we can all agree that this city has captured our hearts for sure. Prague was fortunate enough to have minimal bombing damage from wars so everything is so uniquely old! Some of us visited a monastery who's library was open to visit. It had books dating back to the 900's! And the library itself was beautiful to boot. Also! It finally snowed!!!!! Woo! The city is now covered in a light blanket of fresh powder- making it even more beautiful. Just walking around this city is a fun activity. There are so many different historic things to look at on every corner- including the oldest continuously working clock!
Some other random things around the city include the John Lenin wall where university students peacefully protested against communist control in their country.
Also, there are swans all over the river! And they know people feed them bread so they get ridiculously close to you! I didn't know swans were so large, or made such an obnoxious sound.
Prague is definitely more touristy than the cities we have visited so far. You can't walk a block without seeing t-shirts that say "Prague drinking team", and everything you could imagine with "Prague" printed on it. It's been quite a feat trying to figure out which vendors have the best prices for the same things.
Yesterday night we had the pleasure of seeing Tosca. It was phenomenal-the sets, the costumes, the singing (old style...had to get used to it), and the awesome booming brass section of the orchestra- all so wonderful! But holy moly what a drama bag! That plot is one of the most ridiculously melodramatic stories I've ever heard- seriously, watch or read it sometime.
Before the show started I got to look at the orchestra pit and I got to wave at the flute player and I got a wave back ^-^ But it was so wonderful and fancy (there were even guys in the box seats in tuxedos!) and the hall was just astoundingly gorgeous.

Today we took a walking tour around Prague and got to "Czech" out the Prague castle which had a beautiful cathedral and the Jewish quarter.
Overall, and awesome day of learning and exploring! Now onto an awesome evening listening to the Prague Symphony Orchestra!
