Ahoj Prague, Hallo Salzburg!

Leaving Prague was definitely something we all did not want to do. The city is full of fairy tale style buildings left and right, and the river is full of swans. My last morning in Prague I woke up late, moseyd on down to a bakery to buy a delicious sausage roll, pastry, and a loaf of bread. Kai and I then went down to the river and fed the massive amout of water birds pigeons and swans!
After that I bought some delicious hot chocolate was able to slowly walk across the snowy St. Charles Bridge one last time on my own. It was the best morning I've had in a long time! Prague will definitely be missed! Next! The great train adventure. Figuring out how the train system worked from Prague to Linz (where we had our connecting train to Salzburg) gave us a bit of trouble. The departures reader board doesn't tell you what platform to go to until about 10 minutes before it leaves again... So it was a lot of waiting and dashing and waiting again. There were a lot of interesting things that happened to us while we were waiting.... Kai had a mayonaise sandwich, we were asked for coins/ directions multiple times, and were next to a dog who had been holding it for a bit too long. Needless to say we were glad to finally get on the train.
This was no short train ride, it was a good 5 hours. We thought that they might have a meal cart or something on the train so we didn't get lunch before hand- a horrendous mistake. By the time we were almost to Salzburg we were debating which one of us would give the most nutritional value if we ate them. Of course Caleb was right out. As well as Hannah E. Because of her lack of vegetables and taste in men. ;) Luckily, we were able to eat ginormous Wiener schnitzel and pork cordon bleu at a delicious restaurant recommended by our hotel receptionist before we actually decided to eat someone.
Today we were able to explore Salzburg and a bit of its catacombs! It is a beautiful mideival city. The old town is carved onto the mountainside and the Salzburg castle sits on top of everything- it really is wonderful to see!!
In the evening we went to the Vienna Philharmonic concert...which I will talk about tomorrow when I am not so tired and not so speechless from what I heard. Tune in next time to hear further adventures!
