Lessons thus far.

Lessons from Berlin:
--Don't stand too close to the doors on a crowded subway. You WILL wind up with a horrid drunk man  all up on you for the rest of the ride, and he will be drinking another beer as we speak.
--Post-modern German opera is fun, but strange...and Germans will continuously perform 7+ curtain calls.
--Germany seems to be mostly comprised of abandoned buildings, grafitti, and trains. Not really. But kind of.
--Esau was the most stupid idiot talked about in the Bible, and though lentils are good and healthy, it is not worth it to trade your inheritance for a plate of lentil soup.

Lessons from Prague:
--Tulip wood recorders are amazingly beautiful, and totally unaffordable - they will break your heart when you play them and can't afford to buy them.
--Go to Prague. Stuff here is CHEAP and awesome! Especially the food.
--Always take the elevator down to the park. There might be a really awesome ropes course designed for grown ups at the bottom.
--When one mean shop owner shoos you out the door, another really nice one opens a window. Or something like that...in any case, $6.25 original pashmina scarves are awesome.

Lessons from Tosca:
--Being a crazy jealous girlfriend won't get you very far in life. In fact, it'll probably wind up with you and  your boyfriend both dead. At a castle thing.
--Scarpia is kind of a total jerk, and women are wine to be tasted - the leftovers thrown away.
--Telling someone to die repeatedly speeds up the process.
--English and Czech subtitles to an Italian opera...I feel like I was exposed to a LOT of culture today.
