The Adventure Begins
I wouldn't say I travel a lot, but enough to know that was an incredibly easy trip. We took off around 2pm Seattle time, after watching the 49rs sdavnce to play the Seahwaks next week, and made the 10 hour flight to Frankfurt. *Side note:The Hawks v. 49rs game is at 12:30am local time on Sunday after our Berlin Philharmonic concert. I will watch that game, and you will probably be hearing about it. Anyway, I managed to breeze through three movies and get about 2 hours of sleep, leaving a full day ahead of me as we arrived around 9am local time.
Our first adventure of the day was learning to navigate the train system, which I'd like to think we did pretty well. We arrived in Leipzig and used our "ask a random stranger" tourist skills to find the hostel. The name of our hostel is Say-Cheese Hostel. Yeah, we are so cool. It's actsully pretty nice. The three of us guys are all sharing a quad room with our own bathroom, but it's pretty nice. We had a power outage in the hostel, though I think that was somebody in our group's fault. Not sure... Dinner was an Italian restaurant of all things. After that we did some acquainting of the town through random exploration. We found a statue of our boy JSB (J.S. Bach) and a couple of cathedrals we'll explore tomorrow (well, today. I woke up at 5am, it's now 7:30 and Caleb and Kai are still sleeping). I am typing this up on a Kindle Fire with no knowledge of how to upload pictures from it. I apologize for that. I'll upload them when I get home to both here and Facebook. We also went into a government building during our exploration. Hannah Davidson and I proceeded to go up every flight of stairs we could find which made for some fun exploring. When we tried to leave we found the doors had been locked, trapping us in! I'll leave the details to another person. Read on!
Harlem Gospel Choir concert tonight after a day of exploring. Tomorrow: Travel to Berlin!
