I got Kirchstreusel for breakfast. It was delicious! Tomorrow I am hoping for a cinnamon roll looking pastry. So after this three of us went with Dr. Powell to exchange money and when we met up with everyone else we headed for the Mendelssonn haus… It was closed. So we took a picture with his bust. Then we headed over to the Schumann Haus… It wasn't open yet so we went and found a place to eat. I got Grillwurst in a tomato kind of sauce and mashed potatoes. Annnnnd then back to Schumann! It was a house with cool info about Mr. and Mrs. Schumann… But there wasn't much. We went to a cathedral- St. Thomas- that was where Bach was buried. So we then left and found the Bach Museum! Oh my goodness it was so cool! I loved that we had little iPod things that talked gave us a tour. My favorite room was the one that played music and let us push buttons to hear that instrument stand out. After the Bach museum we headed back to the hostel. I didn't realize how tired I was until I fell asleep and didn't wake up until we had to go to the Harlem Gospel Singers at the Gewandhaus! So I got us, switched into black pants, threw a coat on and off we went. Ok, it wasn't just me who slept that long… Anyway, the Gewandhaus was amazing! There were busts of composers and murals on the ceiling! Then when we got to our seats they were close to the stage. Once it started we all had a hard time not smiling because, 1. They spoke English!, 2. They had SO much energy!, 3. It was a gospel choir + band in the GEWANDHAUS, 4. I REALLY enjoyed it! So After that we went to get some dinner. I had pizza. And now we are all writing our blogs, getting ready for bed, and getting psyched about leaving tomorrow for Berlin!!! Goodnight.
