Leipzig Check-List

Done so far:
-Navigate a train system in a foreign language through keen observation and lots of guesswork.
-Realize the magic of modern phone app tech. Translation! Augmented Reality! GPS! ...and to think that people used to use paper maps and human interaction. Suckers.
-Drink Beethoven tea (they also had Grieg, Mozart, Bach, Mendelssohn, and Wagner teas - I obviously chose the best).
-Get teased for my poor German pronunciation by an old German lady (note to self: streusel is not pronounced how you might think).
-Blow out the power in our room and obliterate Eric's power converter - looks like it's time to find a cheapo German hair dryer for this trip, because mine ain't gonna work.
-Curry. Bratwurst. 'Nuff said.
-Kill 2 hours to visit the very disappointingly sparse Schumann house, then randomly stumble upon the extremely awesome Bach museum. Just goes to show that sometimes the best exploration plans are the ones that aren't actually planned.
-Visit the final (but hardly the first) resting spot of our boy, JS Bach. That guy got around in death almost as much as he did in life, which is saying a lot - he had a half a bajillion kids, which is a direct quote from the Bach museum. Not. But really though, the man was busy.

...off to a good start so far. Now let's go hear some gospel music.
